28th December 2007 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 25 knots Surf / Sea State: 4 foot surf Air Temperature: 11ºC Sea Temperature: 9ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Steve gave up waiting and headed off to the hills, and then the wind picked up. Ben turneup and we went out for a sail ben was on his Evo 80 with a 5.2 and I went with my 5m and my little JP wave board. We were both perfectly powered and having a good time, plenty of wind, and plenty of waves, some of which were getting on for mast high out the back, but with plenty of power it was all so much easier than yesterday. Session came to an early end though mid way through a gybe miles out the back when my harness line inadvertantly hooked in and pulled me on top of the sail so that my knee went through it. I managed to sail it back OK though and then one run later and the sun came out and the wind dropped off so Ben packed up too. Much better then yesterday, good to be out on my smaller wave kit, just a shame the session wasn't a little longer. |
